Sponsor your relatives

In particular situations, you can only sponsor relatives like a brother, sister, aunt, or uncle.

Depending on your situation, there are two options for whom you can sponsor.

  1. You can sponsor an orphaned brother, sister, nephew, niece, or grandchild.

  2. If you meet certain conditions, you may sponsor one relative of any age, related by blood or adoption.

If the relative you intend to sponsor has a spouse, partner, or dependent children who will accompany them to Canada, you must include them on the same sponsorship application.
